To celebrate its success, on Thursday 16 April at the Biblioteca Vallicelliana in Rome there was a lecture entitled The marvels of the national monuments: fifteen years of Mirabilia Italiæ. This event, attended by the Direttore dei Beni Culturali e Paesaggistici del Lazio Luciano Marchetti, focused on the publishing history of the series and provided an occasion for the presentation of the new edition of The Gallery of Maps in the Vatican, the first title in the series, and of the latest volume, The Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice.

Franco Cosimo Panini Editore has presented the 15th title of the series “Mirabilia Italiae“, entirely devoted to the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice: a fundamental work that reveals all the marvels of this Venetian monument, from the world-famous canvases of Tintoretto to the less familiar jewels, such as the astonishing carved choir stalls. The volume was presented in Venice on Saturday 11 October in the  Sala Superiore of the Scuola. The event was attended by: Salvatore Settis, editor of the volume and of the entire series; Franco Posocco, Guardian of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco; Alvise Zorzi, President of the Association of Private International Committees for the Safeguarding of Venice; Rolando Bussi, of Franco Cosimo Panini Editore.
