Art, antiquarian books, illuminated manuscripts and prestigious facsimiles. This is the world of “Folia – Emozioni in miniatura”, the first journal specifically addressed to lovers of ars illuminadi and collectors of facsimile editions.
Folia, the new quarterly published by Franco Cosimo Panini Editore, will be launched at the book fair Artelibro in Bologna, on Friday 25 September at 5.00 p.m. in the Sala del Quadrante in the Palazzo Re Enzo.
The magazine will be presented by its editor Gianfranco Malafarina, who will be interviewed by Goffredo Silvestri, journalist of Repubblica.it – arte.

Advance copies of Folia will be distributed at Franco Cosimo Panini Editore’s stand 30/33.

To answer this question Franco Cosimo Panini Editore is promoting a lively debate between Bernard Aikema and Antonio Pinelli: the Dutch professor will illustrate the marvels of Flemish art, while the Italian art historian will champion the cause of our Renaissance. To assist the discussion, facsimile editions of Italian and Flemish codices will be on display, from the Bible of Borso d’Este to the Très Riches Heures of the Duc de Berry. The debate will be chaired by Gianfranco Malafarina, editor of the journal “Alumina – Pagine miniate”, and will take place on 26 September at 12 noon in the Sala dello Stabat Mater of the Biblioteca dell’Archiginnasio in Bologna.
